Push notifications provide instant communication, ensuring that users receive important updates and information in real time without need to have Logsteer mobile app always open and running.

Desktop notifications ensure that users on Mac or Windows can receive important updates and alerts regardless of the application being active or not.

Setup instructions - step by step

Follow these step-by-step instructions to install the app as a web app on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac platforms for seamless access.

Installing as a Web App on Android and iOS:

1. Open your Chrome or Safari web browser on your Android or iOS device.
2. Visit Logsteer and log in to your account.
3. Once logged in, locate the option to Install as Web App or Add to Home Screen in your browser settings.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the Logsteer app to your home screen.
5. Logsteer app icon will now appear on your home screen, providing convenient access to the platform.

To allow Push Notifications be sure to enable them in your Logsteer profile and device settings.

Installing as a Web App on Windows and Mac:

1. Open your preferred web browser on your Windows or Mac computer.
2. Navigate to Logsteer and log in to your account.
3. After logging in, find the browser menu and look for the option to Install as Web App or Create Shortcut.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a shortcut on your desktop.
5. A shortcut icon will now be available on your desktop, allowing you to launch Logsteer with a single click.

To allow Desktop Notifications be sure to enable them in your Logsteer profile and Windows or Mac settings.

Push messages

Logsteer is designed to keep you updated with the most critical information through push notifications. When installed as a web app on an iPhone or Android device, users can receive push messages once notifications are enabled. Here are the conditions under which push notifications are sent:

Task with Reminder Option Turned On If an task in Logsteer has the Alert option enabled, you will receive a push notification at the 15 minutes ahead of scheduled reminder time. This ensures you are alerted to important tasks and events, helping you stay on top of your commitments.
Order Task Eligible for Ownership Whenever there is a Order Task that you are eligible to take ownership of, the app will instantley send a push notification. This ensures that you are promptly informed about new opportunities to contribute and manage tasks within your production workflow.
Explicitly Assigned Task When you are explicitly assigned (set as the executor) on Task, the application will immediately send a push notification.
Reminder When you create a Reminder, the application will send a push notification at the scheduled time.
Order Step (Status) When an Order transitions from one step to another, the application will send a push notification to the Order owners at the moment of the new state.
