About Chat

The Chat module enables communication between users within the Logsteer platform. It supports both private (1:1) conversations and group chats, allowing for fast and targeted information exchange.

  • Users can be added or removed from group conversations

Chat is used for daily coordination between teams, especially in the context of task and order execution, as well as situations requiring quick feedback.

Users can link an existing record, such as a Task or Order, directly within a conversation, ensuring relevant communication context and easier decision-making.

Typical use cases include:

  • coordinating order execution involving multiple teams
  • quick exchange of information between field teams and back office
  • sending images, documents, or comments in real time
  • creating topic-based groups by client, project, or department
