Manage SMS and email communication – promotional and transactional
The Marketing module in Logsteer enables management of complete communication with contacts via SMS and Email channels. The module includes three types of communication:
The module supports two operating modes:
Within the Contact entity, the SMS and Email tabs are available. In each of these tabs, a new message can be sent manually.
Example of sending an SMS message:
When writing an SMS message, it is possible to use personalization, for example inserting the first and last name or other dynamic data related to the contact.
In the SMS communication view, the following is visible:
The system automatically processes incoming SMS messages. Each received message is linked to an existing contact via the Mobile 1 field. If a message arrives from an unknown number, Logsteer automatically creates a new contact with that number.
The contact also contains the Do not send SMS field. If it is enabled, the system will not send SMS messages to that person. If the user replies with the keyword STOP, the field is automatically enabled.
In a separate SMS module, it is possible to schedule sending of one or more messages in advance. When the defined time arrives, the system automatically sends messages to the selected contact segment.
Segmentation is performed through a dedicated contact view using advanced filters. Filtering is possible according to various criteria, including related entities such as addresses, notes, and orders.
It is especially important that segmentation displays:
When opening a specific contact, a complete overview of the communication history is always available.
The Email module works on the same principle as the SMS module – it supports real-time sending from the contact, scheduled sending, and segmentation.
When sending an email message, the following are defined:
Email campaigns are integrated with the Listmonk tool, which enables advanced visual editing of HTML messages, campaign design, and additional user segmentation.
The integration between Logsteer and Listmonk is bidirectional. If a user unsubscribes via the link in the email, that information is automatically synchronized back to Logsteer and the Do not send Email flag is set on the contact.
All contacts available in Logsteer are synchronized and automatically available in Listmonk.
