In Logsteer, Notes can be associated with various entities such as Accounts, Orders, or Tasks.
Notes provide a way to store additional textual information about various Logsteer entities.
You can attach Notes to specific records within Logsteer. For instance, you could make a note to an Order, to describe in more details what is it about.
Users who have the necessary permissions will be able to perform several actions with Notes:
-
View: Users can open and view Notes directly within the Logsteer application. This allows for quick access to important information without needing to leave Logsteer interface.
-
Edit: Users have the option to edit and update Notes directly.
-
Delete: If a Note is no longer needed or relevant, users with appropriate permissions can delete it.
Access controls for Notes are tied to the parent entity (such as
Accounts,
Orders, or
Tasks) to which they are linked with. This means that the permissions for accessing, viewing, editing, and deleting these notes are determined by the
access controls set for the corresponding parent entity +
necessary Responsibilities set. This ensures that only
authorized individuals can interact with the notes, maintaining data security and confidentiality.
